Company's history

• Sheriff was founded in June 24, 1993, as a foreign limited liability company. In the very beginning of its activity Sheriff Company was a business of a few of enthusiasts and consisted of a couple of promoters and a bookkeeper. At that date trade was their primary activity. Over a distance of several years the company has grown into the largest one throughout Transnistria. Nowadays approximately three thousand workers are engaged here. The total number of persons employed in the Sheriff holding's companies is 12 thousand and a half as for July 2006.
  
  Over the past years the Company has built some big projects, new structures for the sake of development of the main lines of activity. It has built ties with the manufacturers of such CIS- and far-abroad countries as Ukraine, Russia, Estonia, Germany, the USA, Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Holland, Argentina, Brazil, Spain and others.
  
  
• Since 1996, seven Sheriff Supermarkets have been founded.
  There 3 supermarkets in Tiraspol, two in Rybnitsa, by ones in Dubossary and Slobdzea, 3 wholesale markets, wholesale store and 3 mini-markets.
  
  
• In April, 1997, Sheriff Sport Club was founded.
  Sheriff FС became the Champion of Moldova and Cup of Moldova holder for the 3rd time, CIS Champions Cup holder, Moldova Super Cup holder.
  
  
• The Multichannel Television started functioning all over Transnistria.
  The Multichannel Television introduced MMDS TV system. Nowadays satellite port, main transmitting station, relay network, individual receiving systems have been constructed. Hybrid network is constructing now, which combines the advantages both of fiber-optic network and coaxial network. Multichannel Television provides a quality transmission of 34 best programmes of worldwide television on 24 TV channels.
  
  
• April 21, 1998 Construction and Repair managing department was founded in order to execute building operations by its own efforts.
  During this period the department has built the Cathedral Church, the building of the mobile communication centre and one of the Printing House, Mercedes service station, 10 fuel stations, oil store, new supermarkets in Rybnitsa and Slobodzeya, as well as Sheriff SC. Also it reconstructed two supermarkets in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa and oil tank farm.
  
  
• The Delo Publishing House was founded in the beginning of 1999.
  This is a printery, provided with a modern imported equipment for offset printing. It gave us such an advantage that most of the largest local producers placed here their orders. Many people perhaps remember colourful weekly publication called Delo, which was published by the homonymous enterprise. Today the Publishing House suggests you the production of greeting-cards, labels, calendars, booklets and other printing services.
  
  
• Mercedes-Benz Autocenter started working in May, 1999.
  Authorized service dealer and trade representative of Mercedes-Benz company. Mercedes Autocenter obtained the exclusive right in the region for service maintenance, spare parts provision, sale of Mercedes vehicles. In 2002 the Mercedes showroom has started working.
  
  
• On August 1, 2000 Sheriff Sportcomplex building has begun...
  in the western suburb when the Company's management decided to make a modern sport facility for professional football development. 
  In July, 2002 the main football arena started functioning, which was immediately highly commended by FIFA. The Sportcomplex consists of the Small arena, 8 training pitches, field house, house complex for football players, 5 star hotel, football college for children.
  
  
• On January 22, 2004 full-service advertising agency Exclusive was founded.
  It was founded on the basis of AdAgency Klassika (since 2000). Now the Agency suggests a full range of advertising services from video production to advertising campaign conducting.
  
  
• On May, 23 “Sheriff” Ltd. has privatized Tiraspol Factory of Grain Production and Tiraspol Bread Factory. The Factory of Grain Production became more demanded to the class of grain, and at the same time the Factory of Grain Production got the opportunity to produce goods of higher quality and greatly extend assortment.
  
  
• On July, 5 2005 the first Elite Slot Machine Hall was opened. Slot Machine Hall, opened in Tiraspol, is equipped modern slot machines, which leave indifferent neither children nor adults. In September 2006 Slot Machine Hall was opened in Bendery.
